Nature as our role model.
Ever since our establishment in 1967, we at Dr. Hauschka Skin Care have put our trust in the power of nature. We draw on some 500 natural raw materials when creating our formulations – including plants, botanical oils and waxes, and natural essential oils.
100% certified natural cosmetics.
Natural cosmetics are in vogue. But just how natural are they really? The NATRUE label tells us. The international quality seal is dedicated to the worldwide protection and promotion of natural and organic cosmetics. Before a product receives the NATRUE label, the ingredients and formulations are checked by independent testing institutes, therefore preventing any risk of greenwashing. And it is certainly not a problem for us, as each and every one of our cosmetic products is 100% organic.
More than just natural: organic cosmetics.
We want only the best for our natural cosmetics, which means sourcing first-class ingredients that are also organic wherever possible. If a raw material is not available in organic quality, we sometimes initiate cultivation projects ourselves. This was the case with our essential rose oil, mango butter, castor oil and shea butter. Today, a total of 80% of our plant-based raw materials are organically cultivated. We want to make this percentage even higher – and to increasingly migrate to Demeter farming. We are doing this by encouraging more and more raw material partners all over the world to switch to biodynamic cultivation methods and by providing the necessary support for them to implement this switch.
More than 80% of our vegetable raw materials are organically cultivated.
Product declarations can be a real jumble of letters and numbers. We present our ingredients lists in clear, plain language.
Why our cosmetics are not always vegan.
Are you searching for vegan cosmetics ? When producing our cosmetics, we consciously use ingredients from all natural kingdoms. So while our formulations are primarily plant-based, depending on the skin care effect and the skin’s needs, we decide whether or not to use animal raw materials for each individual product For example, beeswax is a valuable substance for natural cosmetics. A gift from nature that we use with the utmost care.
