The skin readily absorbs this nurturing oil which makes it smooth and soft. As a plant belonging to the rose family, the almond is one of the core plants of Dr.Hauschka Skin Care. We prepare several plant extracts with almond oil, using a special process. These extracts are incorporated into the formulas of Dr.Hauschka Skin Care products.

In Dr.Hauschka Sun Care aluminium hydroxide is used as a coating for titanium dioxide. It prevents the finely ground titanium dioxide particles from sticking together and means the sunscreen can be applied evenly. The coated particles form a mineral sun-protection film on the surface of the skin without penetrating it.

AMBER	Intensive Treatment 04	Amber Powder	The name amber derives from ambergris, which is actually an oily, perfumed substance secreted by the sperm whale. This was often washed up on beaches on which amber was also found, causing some confusion. Amber is in fact fossil resin from prehistoric coniferous trees. In Germanic languages it is called 'burn-stone' (e.g. German Bernstein), because if heated it will soften and eventually burn. The Latin name for amber, succinum, means gum-stone and gives us the adjective succinic.

Argan trees prevent the spread of the Sahara desert in Morocco. Careful harvesting of the nuts with a view to sustainability protects tree stocks. Fair trade with argan oil gives a boost to the local economy. The oil cares for the skin and lends a sheen to lipsticks.
